Starting out and marketing your practice can come with many ups and downs. Below are some ways to get your name out there.

• Build a website (I recommend Squarespace because it is really easy to use, you can just drag and drop things!)

• Setup a Google Business Profile, this is where I get more of my referrals from!

• Work on your Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Squarespace helps you with this, and there are tons of resources online to help you navigate SEO.

• Make connections with other providers in your area including therapists, doctors, school counselors, real estate agents, massage therapists, etc.

• Create a profile on a therapist directory like PsychologyToday or TherapyDen

  • When creating a profile, narrow down the clients you are really wanting to see and resonate with. Going broader doesn’t mean you will get more clients, specializing and communicating directly to that population will!

• If you specialize in any modalities, see if they have a directory to add your name to.

• Business Cards! When starting out, I gave every new client a business card to be able to contact me and also to refer.
