My Approach
Growing up, nobody’s childhood dream is to constantly second-guess themselves, have trouble saying no, or feel responsible for everyone else’s happiness. If you find yourself struggling with low self-confidence, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling stuck in patterns that leave you exhausted and disconnected from yourself; I am here to support you. You’re not alone in this experience, and you don’t have to continue feeling this way. Together, we can work towards helping you feel understood and comfortable in who you are.
I work with individuals who feel overwhelmed, unsure of their worth, or disconnected from themselves. Whether these struggles stem from unresolved trauma, grief, or long-held patterns, my goal is to help you reconnect with yourself. In sessions, we’ll explore the root of these patterns and develop ways to help you feel more grounded, secure, and confident in the person you are.
I welcome and affirm all gender identities, sexual orientations, and cultural identities.
Person-Centered
Person-Centered therapy is the lens that I view therapy through. Under this theory, I believe that every individual is the expert in their life. At times, we get disconnected from our selves and our innate inner wisdom. I am here to walk along side you on your journey back to that innate self and believe that you already have everything you need within you. I view therapy as a collaboration between client and therapist built on trust, empathy, and authenticity.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is a dynamic and transformative therapeutic tool that seeks wholeness connected by a core Self. Through this modality, the mind is viewed as naturally multiple, or made of different parts (like members of a family). Our inner parts often play many roles in our lives, from our day to day organization to how we show up in our relationships. Parts can often be forced from their innate and valuable states into more extreme or conflictual roles within us.
Through this modality, we are able to connect to our core Self. Self is in everyone and innately knows how to heal and care for our wounded and forgotten parts. Through this connection with Self, we are able to experience inner and outer connectedness and authenticity in our lives.
Internal Family Systems is a non-pathologizing therapy, which seeks to view individuals through a holistic lens instead of a diagnosis and symptoms.
Sand Tray
SandTray and SandPlay are two types of therapy that utilize a sand tray to help connect to and process our inner world. In my office, the sand tray is used as a tool for processing when we don’t have words, for grounding and regulation, and for understanding parts and Self. I am not a registered SandTray or SandPlay therapist, but rather use the sand tray as a tool to deepen and complement other modalities.
